Whoopi Goldberg wants to return to hosting game shows Wheel of Fortune Following Pat Sajak’s announcement of his retirement after 40 years on the job.
when Jeopardy! Host Ken Jennings appeared display This Morning, co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin asked Sajak for his reaction after he announced his resignation.
“Another legendary game show host, Pat Sajak, has announced his retirement. Wheel of Fortune At the end of next season. What is your reaction to this news and any ideas on who should replace him? Griffin asked.
In the middle of Griffin’s questioning, Goldberg is heard saying, “I want that job.”

Goldberg confirmed, “I want the job. I think it would be really fun.”
Behar also suggested “Sarah [Haines] I could be Vanna White. We would take turns walking back and forth pointing out the letters.”
Goldberg is no stranger to game shows, as he was a producer on the 1998 revival. Hollywood Squares and became the “center square”.
Sajak announced on Monday that he was stepping down as host Wheel of Fortune After season 41 of the syndicated game show.
“Well, the time has come. “I have decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,” Sajak said in a statement. “It’s been an amazing ride and I have more to say in the coming months. Thank you all so much. If nothing else, it will keep the clickbait sites busy!”
