Tornado Watch, Severe Storm Warnings for SE Michigan

Heavy storms hit Metro Detroit

A line of showers and storms may approach from the west along that cold front after 3-4pm today.

The main threats from those storms are damaging winds (between 60-70 mph), rapid spin-up tornadoes and golf ball-sized hail.

  • A Tornado Watch Wayne, Washtenaw, Monroe and Lenawee counties are in effect until 11 p.m

  • A Severe Thunderstorm Watch Macomb, Oakland, Livingston, Lapeer, St. Clair, Genesee and Sanilac counties until 11 p.m

  • A Severe Thunderstorm Warning Oakland, Macomb, Lenawee, St. Clair and Genesee in practice.
