Felicity actor Eric Anderson has died at the age of 67.

The veteran Hollywood star died on May 31 after a “brutal” battle with cancer, his wife of 60 years, actress Saxon Trainor, shared on Instagram.

Anderson played Keri Russell’s father, Dr. Edward Porter, in nine episodes of the hit series Felicity in the late 1990s.

The actor has also been in the TV shows Dallas, Melrose Place, Thirtysomething, Star Trek: The Next Generation, 7th Heaven, NYPD Blue, The Mentalist and Bosch.

The versatile actor has also made guest appearances in TV series like Murder, She Wrote, CSI, and CSI: Miami.

His films included Friday the 13th the 13th: The Final Chapter, Bat*21, and Infinity.

In 2002, he starred with Diane Lane and Richard Gere in the infidelity thriller Unfaithful.

Saxon was so grief-stricken that he could not write a long note.

“My husband, Eric, passed away this morning,” Trainor wrote. “I share the words of my brother-in-law Michael O’Malley because I am too deprived now to write anything.”

His brother Michael added touching words.

“He had a long, successful career as an actor — he was on that old show 30 Something; he was Felicity’s father on Felicity. He was killed in a basement in the movie Friday the 13th: he’s been on Star Trek and dozens of other shows.”

He was a smart, funny guy, and a great cook; He has written three wonderful novels that you can find on Amazon. I will miss him but his ordeal is over.

Eve Gordon, who played Felicity’s mother, Barbara Porter, also had kind words for Anderson.

“My beautiful friend Eric Anderson said goodbye,” Gordon, 63, wrote on Instagram.

“Very funny, very open to whatever the day brings, very sarcastic and cheerful at the same time,” the star continued.

Eric’s other films include 2017’s The Neighbor with William Fichtner and 2018’s Cold Brook also with Fichtner.
