Pokemon Go players are destroyed by a quest in the Go Tour: Hoenn Special Research, though it does surround a distinct Legendary appearance in raids.

Pokemon Go players are now in the midst of the two-day Go Tour: Hoenn World Tour. Unlike the Go Tour: Johto event in 2022, players cannot purchase an event ticket, and there are no rewards for the duration of the celebration. While the event first appeared in Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, even Legendary Raids seem to lack gravitas.

Several players reported issues with Raid Raid cards during the event, while others took to social media to share how hard it was to catch Mega Latias and Mega Latios. With the majority of the action focused on catching premium Pokemon, this can be disappointing news for those who aren’t very high on Pokemon Go, or who don’t have access to large communities playing the mobile app.

However, the difficulty level is not just a clash of Mega Latios and Mega Latias. Groudon and Kyogre’s elemental raids also seem to be a problem – and players must catch one of each to advance in Go Tour: Hoenn Special Research.

Pokemon Go players struggle to fight off primal raids

In a Reddit post by Samcornwell To the r/pokemongo subreddit, a Pokemon Go player shared a note featuring one of the Go Tour’s missions: Hoenn: Catch 1 Groudon.

The player says, “Please tell me I’m not the only one struggling with this task,” and plenty of other Pokemon Go trainers jump in to reassure the poster that they’re not the only ones stuck with the requirements. One fan comments, “No one joins the raids here, so I just gave up” while another adds, “This one’s just going to sit there next to taking a shot at Landorus” the whole time. “

With so many obstacles, players will likely find this Pokemon Go event more challenging than celebrating. We hope that future events will bring back rewards and difficulty levels to help with accessibility for players regardless of their location.
