Miami Hurricanes home signing day

Mario Cristobal And the Miami Hurricanes are entering the early signing period in an effort to finalize a special recruiting class.

After a disappointing 2022 season, in which Miami went 5-7, the Hurricanes are closing in on the top five, according to 247Sports’ recruiting rankings.

Miami is entering the early signing period, which runs from Wednesday, December 21st to Friday, December 23rd, with 24 commitments.

Three of Miami’s commitments rank within the five-star category: CB Cormani McClainO.L Francis Mawegwaand O.L Samson O’Connola.

UM has not signed at least three five-star prospects to a recruiting cycle during the 247Sports era, dating back to the 2011 cycle.

If the UM class stays together during the early signing period, it will indeed be the best signed class the Hurricanes have ever had during the 247Sports era.

The Hurricanes currently have a 247 Sports Recruiting total of 292.97 and start the day as Class #3 nationally. The best class Miami signed to during the 247Sports era prior to 2023 was the class of 2018, which earned a score of 280.87 and finished that course eighth overall in the country.

Miami is poised to sign a top class in the ACC, something the Hurricanes did not do during the 247Sports era.
