Free-agent running back Kareem Hunt remains a free agent because no one has made him an offer he won’t turn down. The Browns will have to see what he can do before they consider doing that.
While Hunt’s visit to the Browns on Tuesday was widely reported, the NFL’s official personnel announcement showed that Hunt did indeed have a tryout with the Browns.
It’s a uniqueness that shouldn’t be covered up. A visit means the team doesn’t need to see what the player can currently do. An attempt is made to observe, in some concrete way, his talents and abilities.
