Jason Kelce heads to ESPN for 'Monday Night Countdown' pregame show role: Sources

Recently retired Jason Kelce is heading to ESPN to be part of the “Monday Night Football” pregame show, sources familiar with the move said. The athlete.

Kelce, who just retired after what is considered a Hall of Fame career with the Philadelphia Eagles, has been sought out by multiple networks, but is set to land on ESPN's “Monday Night Countdown.”

ESPN declined to comment.

Kelsey and his brother Travis have a popular podcast called “New Heights.” Jason, 36, was interested in the media and attracted interest from NBC, CBS and Amazon, among others. He and his wife, Kylie, had a pre-existing relationship with Amazon, where they created a docu-series called “Kelce,” which followed him through his final season. We're two weeks away from the Disney introductions and Kelsey will likely be a part of it. ESPN also selected Bill Belichick, the NFL's other top free agent this offseason. Belichick will appear weekly on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Mondays during the NFL season. McAfee will pay Belichick to participate in his licensed show on ESPN.

Meanwhile, Belichick's deal is set to go through with Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions that would make Belichick a semi-regular guest on the Manningcast. Scott Van Pelt hosts ESPN's “Monday Night Countdown” featuring analysts Marcus Spears and Ryan Clark.
