How to watch, broadcast, TV channel, schedule, best bets, weather and more

Memorial Day weekend means home for the NASCAR Cup Series and the longest-mileage race on the calendar. The series moves to Charlotte Motor Speedway in suburban Queen City, where every team is based, for the Coca-Cola 600.

Just down the street from the speedway, Hendrick Motorsports is in the role of the team to beat, having won five of its 13 races this season, as well as an All-Star race this past weekend at North Wilkesboro.

Here’s everything you need to know before Coca-Cola 600:

Coca-Cola 600 TV/Broadcast/Radio schedule

All times are oriental

6-10 pm: Coca-Cola 600 (Fox, Fox Sports app, PRN)

It rained Saturday, Byron on the pole

Because the Charlotte, North Carolina, area was drenched in rain on Saturday, NASCAR officials decided to cancel on-track activity for all series competing this weekend. This included Cup Series training and qualifying, which means a grid defined by the rulebook for the Coca-Cola 600. Thanks to this formula, the front row for the longest mile race of the season would see William Byron in pole position alongside Kevin Harvick.

Top drivers and best bets for the Coca-Cola 600

Hendrick Motorsports has been dominant on tracks 1.5 miles or shorter and that is Reflected in the odds of BetMGM Weekend entry. The best odds of winning
Kyle Larson +400
William Byron +700
Denny Hamlin +750
Martin Truex Jr. +900
Chase Elliott +900

We wrote in more detail about the odds earlier in the week and recommend finding a good mid-level value in Tyler Reddick (+1600), who averages a 9.3 finish in four starts in Charlotte and Kevin Harvick (+1700), who won three times. Ty Gibbs (+6000), making his first Cup start in Charlotte, is an attractive long shot as he won and finished second in two Xfinity races.

Coca cola 600 weather

calls for expectations Mild temperatures and rain all weekend, which will have highway schedule-makers combing their temples. In addition to the Cup cars, there will be practice, qualifying and racing for ARCA Menards, Craftsman Truck and Xfinity series on the track. With Monday considered a federal holiday, NASCAR may be more inclined to push the Cup race back more quickly than to wait for the weather until late Sunday night.
