Google is rolling out the Pixel January 2022 update on Tuesday

According to Verizon, the next Google Pixel update with the January security patch will roll out tomorrow.

Google Pixel updates usually start rolling out on the first Monday of the month, but this falls on New Year’s Day this year. It’s coming on Tuesday as a result, according to Verizon, Similar to last year:

  • Pixel 4a last updated on 01/03/2023
  • Pixel 4a 5G UW Last updated on 01/03/2023
  • Pixel 5 was last updated on 01/03/2023
  • The last update for Pixel 6 is 01/03/2023
  • The last update for Pixel 6 Pro is 01/03/2023
  • Pixel 6a last updated on 01/03/2023
  • Pixel 7 last updated on 01/03/2023
  • The last update for Pixel 7 Pro is 01/03/2023

American Carrier updated the file Device software updates List a day early and your Pixel 4a to 7 Pro are set to receive them on January 3rd, instead of next week. Due to the premature update, the actual changes are not yet published.

We’re not expecting anything major since the December Feature Drop with Android 13 QPR1 Just arrived, though bug fixes would be welcome. For example, home and wallet Shortcuts tend to appear initially on the always-on display. Instead, the next big update – QPR2 – Coming in March.

It should be the main update this month for Pixel Buds Pro To enable spatial audio, though there is probably a phone component.
