DALL-E now lets you edit images in ChatGPT

DALL-E is in its third generation, and recent updates like this seem aimed at making it even more user-friendly. DALL-E 3 has added integration with ChatGPT, taking the burden off the user to write a completely descriptive image claim – just tell ChatGPT what you want, and it will do the rest. Today's update is an extension of that, allowing the casual DALL-E user to tweak and improve their results from within the ChatGPT interface.

The new style prompts in DALL-E 3 Service seem to address a related but slightly different question from a novice user: What the hell do I do with this thing? Sometimes it's a bit of a blank canvas also Empty, you know? New prompts serve as a sort of starting point and include styles such as woodcut, gothic, synthetic and hand-drawn waves, with examples on mouseover. Choose one to add to your claim. Earlier this year, DALL-E 3 began adding watermarks and visual metadata to reference the AI-generated image. It's a good start, sure, but both can easily be taken down by bad actors. This is not so Just The OpenAI problem needs to be solved, but it is certainly an important one. In the meantime, I hope the sci-fi polar bear has a happy vacation.
