Bryan Danielson commenting on whether we’ll hear the final countdown again in AEW

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door celebrated Bryan Danielson’s big night. By defeating Kazuchika Okada, he became the first man in nearly a decade to clinch the “Rainmaker”. However, before the opening bell rang, Danielson walked into a song he has a bit of history with – “The Final Countdown” in Europe. During the post-show media briefing, he was asked if that would be part of his regular show going forward or if it was a one-on-one deal.

“I think this is Tony [Khan] Question, because they want a billion dollars per game. “I didn’t even ask for it, to be honest,” he revealed. Tony came up with the idea, and I thought it was really cool. And I was a little pissed off before I got out there and then I heard “Final Countdown.” It literally put a smile on my face… I don’t think I’ve legitimately heard this song since I last came out to it in Ring of Honor. “

Later, Khan shared that the song was likely only used in the evening due to the high cost of licensing it. But he added that AEW has the rights to it forever in association with the Forbidden Door, which means he’s always been a part of that special dream match.
