  • The news comes as Breeze, which began flying in May 2021, continues to develop its transcontinental roadmap.

Breeze Airways is betting on Las Vegas.

The fast-growing low-cost carrier announced eight new routes to Sin City on Wednesday, increasing its market presence to 11 non-stop flights. Breeze already flies to Las Vegas from Richmond, Virginia, Syracuse, New York, and Fort Myers, Florida.

Introductory fares will start at just $29 one way, according to the company.

“With these and other upcoming new routes, Breeze has identified many of the unserved LAS markets and will soon make it easier for travelers from across the country to travel to Las Vegas,” Clark County Aviation Director Rosemary Vasiliadis said in a news release.

The company will fly its new Airbus A220 on all roads, which is characterized by A first-class product, Breeze. Breeze currently has 80 A220s on order, with an option for another 40.

Premium cabins on low-cost airlines are rare, and competing airlines such as Frontier Airlines and Allegiant Air do not offer similar products. Spirit Airlines has large front seatbut they don’t recline or come with any extra benefits, like a free checked bag or snack, like Breeze “Nicest” fare.

Breeze’s also offers A220s Heavy comfort economy cabinWhich includes things like USB ports, a seat back phone holder, and adjustable headrests. These perks are absent from competing carriers.

The airline’s ambition to provide a comfortable experience may be key to its rapid expansion, especially since the Breeze is only 15 months old, having flew its inaugural flight on May 27, 2021.

As of September 2022, the carrier has a busy network of 31 destinations, many of which are non-stop transcontinental terminals not served by any other airline, such as Richmond to San Francisco.

As the company continues to grow, it will continue to offer pathways with little or no competition to connect underserved secondary markets, which it has Founder David Neelman’s vision has been from the start.
