Wolfenstein for the Xbox 360 - Game AI and Multi-Player Modes
(Page 4 of 4 )
Although the bosses are some very tough cookies, the same can’t be said about the AI characteristics of some of the regular Nazi soldiers. Many of the soldiers are a case of quantity rather than quality, and can be pretty dumb when it comes to fighting. Some won’t flinch at the sight of a grenade coming at them and seem to shy away from protecting themselves.
On the other hand, some enemies are too good and will seemingly come flying out of nowhere to kill you. This can get frustrating at times, since you get no fair warning of the impending attacks. While those attacks may cheapen the gameplay, the same could be said about your own usage of the Veil. It's seemingly omnipresent in the game, and makes the game too easy to play if you abuse it. If you are up for more of a challenge, go to battle without the Veil, as it is more rewarding.
Since the single player mode can get old after a while, it is nice to know that Wolfenstein for the Xbox 360 comes with a multiplayer mode as well, for up to 12 players. Simply put, Wolfenstein multiplayer is chaotic. You can choose from up to eight different maps, and there are three different modes to choose from.
In Team Deathmatch your team aims to get the most kills. In the Objective mode your team must complete a task while the other team does its best to prevent you. Finally, in Stopwatch, you compete against the other team to complete an objective in the shortest time possible. One down side to the multiplayer mode is that you can re-spawn too quickly, so there is little incentive to protect yourself.
If you are looking for a game that is action-packed with little mind work necessary, Wolfenstein for the Xbox 360 might be for you. It is not all that deep, but there is enough action to keep you entertained. Its an overall good game to have for those days when you just need to let off some steam.
