The Road to Glory mode is pretty much a rehash of the old Campus Legend mode from the series, with the exception of the addition of Erin Andrews. It helps that Erin is very easy on the eyes, though, so I am not complaining.
In Road to Glory, you watch yourself grow as a player from high school to college, competing in the meantime to be the best you can be to hopefully earn a spot in the starting lineup and some rewards along the way. As your career progresses you can get updates from famous announcer Kirk Herbstreit and sexy sideline reporter Erin Andrews.
You get more of a first person point of view in this mode, as while you are playing the gameplay camera will focus on your every move. This mode is good for those who like to be creative and watch their players progress over the years.
The Dynasty mode on NCAA Football 10 for the Xbox 360 is time consuming but a lot of fun. You can create your own school if you choose, and customize everything from the uniform to the stadium. If you wish, you can use your dynasty team against the CPU or convert it for online play against other gamers’ creations. This is one of the most popular modes from the series, and allows people to build their teams from every perspective, including high school recruiting.
One drawback to the Dynasty mode is that gamers can boost their team’s or players’ attributes by simply buying them. Yes, you can become better by just spending more money to download improvements. This cheapens the game a bit and kind of goes against the whole realism angle it was aiming to exude.
