Jetway MiniQ 460B SFF PC Review - Specs and Features of the MiniQ 460B

    Jetway MiniQ

Jetway,a Taiwan-based company, makes several different types of computerhardware including main boards, vga cards, monitors, etc. Their SFF PCseries, termed "MiniQ," comes in three flavors: MiniQ 450 (SiS651chipset), MiniQ 460 (Intel 845 chipset), and MiniQ 760 (nForce2chipset). The MiniQ's all have the same look and design (aside fromcolor); only their internal components differ.

"MiniQ,intuitively small in form factor and cute in appearance, is designed toadd more home appliance features to the tradition cold image of desktopcomputer. It can be convenient and stylish to do computing now. TheMiniQ can be a TV, a CD player, a DVD player, or digital center, andall in wireless just like you do on the TV. It brings you a computerexperience more of a daily life and obvious."

The460B only cost me about $225, and is one of the cheaper (albeit older)SFF PCs. Lets look at some specifications before we continue.

Thesolid 845 chipset certainly adds value to the 460B. In fact, thechipset has been my recommendation for over a year for all 400/533MHzP4s. Prices on the P4Bs should be dropping drastically with newofferings from both Intel and AMD, making the 460B an excellent choicefor any budget system at this time. Oddly, however, the 460B does notutilize a PFC power supply, common in SFF PCs. In other words, Iwouldn’t recommend putting a Radeon 9800 Pro in this system.
