Nexus Fan & Light Controller NXP-301

Vantec has developed into one of the best manufacturers of aftermarket PC mods in the world. Their innovative hardware accessories have swiftly become the first choice of PC enthusiasts everywhere. Today we look at the Vantec Nexus NXP-301 Fan & Light Controller. Fresh on the heels of the release of the NXP-205 Multi-Fan Controller Vantec has listened to the customer requests and added cold cathode fluorescent light control to their repertoire. The high quality and attention to details is evident in this latest Vantec product. The Nexus NXP-301 Fan & Light Controller combines the functionalities of fan control and cold cathode light activation into a single unit. It offers 3 separate channels, which can be adjusted to allow full control of the fan ranging from FULL SPEED to COMPLETELY OFF. This will cut down or eliminate unnecessary noise by reducing the fan speed. The light activation function supports 2 cold cathode lights. By adjusting to either ON, OFF, or SOUND ACTIVATED, it allows you to have full control of how you want to light up your case. According to Vantec marketing, there will soon be a separate "Spectrum" Cold Cathode Light kit containing two CCFL's without and inverter for an estimated MSRP of $6.99. The NXP-301 is housed in a stylish brushed aluminum gun metal grey casing with a plastic silver control panel overlay. It is designed to fit in any standard 5.25" drive bay. With ultra-bright LED's, the Nexus NXP-301 fan & light controller is one very good looking mod!
