In a new video for Vogue magazine's “Life in Looks” series. The 26-year-old actress shared the story behind her 1995 Mugler robotic suit at the film's premiere on February 15 in London.

When she first thought of the idea, she was fully committed to making it happen, even though her hairstylist, Lou Roach, wasn't convinced. “He was like, 'Are you serious? Don't play with me! Don't get me started on something and make me do this, and you'll panic at the last minute and be too scared to put it on.' Zendaya recalled.

Before the big reveal, Zendaya started to think it was a “bad idea.” She ran into some complications when she finally hit the mat.

“Right after wearing it for 10 minutes or less, I felt really dizzy. The metal conducts heat and holds it very quickly and traps it. I'm wearing a full suit. There's a barrier, so you actually have a layer of material on your skin,” Zendaya explained. But I put it on and went out there and did it.”

She didn't stay in the metal contraption for long and later changed into a black Mugler dress with a cowl neck, vintage Bulgari earrings and an emerald ring.
