The best day of Tom Mann’s life ended up turning into a day of “irreversible sadness”.
The 28-year-old, who is best known for his appearance on The X Factor in 2014, shared the tragic news on Instagram On Monday, he says his beloved wife will never go down the aisle on Saturday.
His fiancée, Danielle Hampson, 34, died on their wedding day.
Posting a picture of Hampson and their eight-month-old son Boy, Mann said he couldn’t “believe I’m writing these words.”
He wrote: “My beloved Danny – my best friend, my everything and more, the love of my life – died in the early hours of the morning of Saturday, June 18.” “On what was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives ended with an irreversible heartbreak. I feel like I cried the ocean.
“We never made it to the altar; or shall we say our vows, or dance our first dance, but I know you know that you were my whole world and the best thing that ever happened to me, Daniel.”
Mann, who appeared on the singing show as part of boyband Stereo Kicks, said their son would give him “the strength” to cope.
“I honestly don’t know where to go from here,” he wrote, “but I know I need to use whatever strength I can muster for our little boy.” “I’m not going to be a sign of the parent I’ve already become, but I promise I will do everything I can to raise Boy the way I’ve always wanted to.”
The singer/songwriter went on to note how he “completely collapsed while trying to tackle” the tragedy.
“My dear Danny, the brightest light in any room, my world is nothing but darkness without you. And I will miss you forever.”
The cause of Hampson’s death is unknown at this time.

Mann’s former Stereo Kicks bandmates rushed to the comments section to offer their condolences.
Singer Barkley Beals wrote, “Send all my beloved brother so sorry,” while Charlie Jones added, “Smashing reading this Tom. Seeing all my love for you and Bowie.”
Mann and Hampson were forced to postpone their August 2020 wedding on two separate occasions due to the pandemic.
