A missing woman has been found alive four days after she went missing, police said this week, thanks to the sharp observations of two men who saw her car crash in an Idaho canyon.

According to the sheriff’s office, the men said the car “looked like it went part way down” a canyon wall near Melba, Idaho. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the car about 200 feet away from the canyon wall.
Clark was in a ravine about 40 feet below the car, the sheriff’s office said.

Several agencies, including the sheriff’s office and Idaho Mountain Search and Rescue, were involved in efforts to rescue Clark. It was decided to reach her on foot. When members of the search and rescue team went to her around 1pm local time, they found Clark awake and alert.
The 72-year-old was stabilized and taken to medics on a nearby road. It took about two hours to get Clark from where he was found to the platform, the sheriff’s office said. At 3 p.m. local time, Clark was officially transferred to an ambulance and flown to an area hospital by a Life Flight Network helicopter after initial evaluation. As of Sunday, he was still being treated for his injuries. No information about his injuries has been shared publicly. His family was with him at the hospital, the sheriff’s office said.

Responding medics estimated Clark had been in the valley for “at least two days,” Canyon County Sheriff Kieran Donahue said in a news release, noting that he had been “high” since Tuesday when family passed by. Talked to her.
