Will Smith’s first reaction after Jada Pinkett Smith announced her separation

Jada Pinkett Smith recently revealed that she and her husband, Will Smith, have been separated since 2016. She added that they live “completely separate lives” and did not announce this earlier because they are “not ready” yet. She claimed they were “exhausted from trying” by the time they parted ways. However, the couple does not intend to get a divorce. Now, the American actor has responded to the same and posted a video of himself sleeping on a boat while his phone was ringing with notifications, indicating that he is going offline.

In the video posted on Instagram, the “King Richard” actor can be seen sleeping in a boat cabin with text reading: “Fun fact about me: I can take a nap almost anywhere.” Also in the video, he gets up, sits up straight, and shakes his head at the camera. Then he leans over the deck and watches the waves while riding the boat. “Yes, this is very hot,” Mr. Smith says of the view.

“Notifications are disabled :),” the actor wrote in his caption.

Since its publication, his post has received nearly four thousand likes and seven million views.

Jada Pinkett Smith responded to the post with two laughing emojis.

American writer Mark Manson wrote: “It’s true. I’ve witnessed it. A man sleeps anywhere at the drop of a hat.”

Pinkett Smith and Will Smith married in 1997 and have two children, 24-year-old Jaden Smith and 21-year-old daughter Willow Smith.

In an interview, the actress also revealed that Chris Rock asked her out on a date at one point. He thought we were going to get a divorce, so he called me and was basically like, ‘I’d like to take you out.’ I said: What do you mean? He was like, “Well, aren’t you and Will getting a divorce?” I said: No, Chris, these are just rumours. “It was horrible. He apologized profusely and that was it,” she told People magazine.

The interview came ahead of the release of Ms. Pinkett Smith’s highly anticipated memoir, Worthy, which will be released on October 17.
