Wanda Sykes and Amy Schumer weigh in on the Oscars slap

On the Ellen DeGeneres daytime talk show, Sykes, a third of the trio who hosted the Academy Awards Sunday, said that while she didn’t witness Will Smith slapping presenter Chris Rock because she was changing her clothes, she did witness a saucy verbal exchange of Smith with Rock. And the moments that follow.

She told DeGeneres, “I freaked out so much for my friend Chris, and it was disgusting,” According to a preview clip. “I felt sick physically, and I’m still very traumatized by it.”
Sykes also expressed her frustration with Smith being allowed to stay on stage and accept his award For Best Actor.

“For them to let him stay in that room and enjoy the rest of the show and accept his award, I was like, ‘How gross is this?'” she said. Smith has I apologise about the accident. Rock hasn’t made any public comments yet, but he is set to return to the stage tonight in Boston with his backup tour.

Sykes says she is upset by the fact that “nobody” has apologized to her and fellow hosts Amy Schumer and Regina Hall.

“We worked really hard to put this show together,” she said, just so that it was withheld.

Meanwhile, Schumer took over Instagram To share her thoughts, saying she still feels “shocked”.

“I love my friend @chrisrock and think he handled it like a pro,” she wrote. “I stayed there and Oscar introduced his friend questlove and the whole thing was so annoying.”

Rock took home the award for Best Documentary when Smith rushed onto stage and punched him in the face over a joke Rock made about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

In the post, Schumer wrote, “I am still shocked, dazed and sad. I’m so proud of myself and my teammates. But yeah.
