Remember when Nintendo confirmed that Super Nintendo World in Japan would be getting a Donkey Kong-themed expansion? In the latest development, it has now been announced.Donkey Kong countryIt will open at Universal Studios in Spring 2024.
As highlighted Universal Parks News TodayThe announcement was made during a special Universal Studios presentation. As previously revealed, this new expansion will include a Donkey Kong-themed rollercoaster, interactive experiences, and plenty of themed merchandise and food.

Nintendo originally revealed its plans to expand Super Mario World back in September 2021, with Shigeru Miyamoto sharing the following message at the time about making “the world of Donkey Kong a reality”:
“I’m so happy to be able to make the world of Donkey Kong a reality after Mario World. I’m looking forward to creating an exciting Donkey Kong experience with the amazing team at Universal. It will take some time to complete. But it will be a unique area not only for people who are familiar with Donkey Kong games, but for all the guests.”
