Indian filmmakers seem to be keen on bringing dystopian thrillers to the audience. Similar to Prabhas’ Kalki (2898 AD), Bollywood film ‘Ganapath’ is also touted to be a futuristic action epic. The first teaser of the film was released today and it gives an insight into the gist of the film.
Running in one minute and forty-five seconds, the teaser suggests that Ganapath is a fantastic sci-fi novel set in a fantasy world with larger-than-life characters and top-notch artistic values. The cast includes Tiger Shroff, Amitabh Bachchan and Kriti Sanon in important roles. The visuals are extraordinary and the action blocks will blow the minds of the viewers.
The teaser begins with the introduction of Tiger Shroff doing deep meditation. The next frame takes us to a futuristic world with flying warships. When oppressed people are subjected to tyrannical rule, they pray for divine intervention. Then a superhero is born. Tiger Shroff makes a gushing entry showcasing his versatile skills. He is positioned as the savior of people in the battle of “good versus evil.”
Tiger Shroff impresses with his charisma and shines in action episodes. Krithi Sanon and Amithab get strong roles that travel with the narrative.
The teaser has some close similarities with the Kalki 2898AD. However, it manages to keep viewers on the edge of their seats with amazing production values. The background is amazing and the cinematography is outstanding.
Overall, director Vikas Bahl comes up with an ambitious attempt well supported by a star-studded cast and strong artistic values.
Ganapath is gearing up for release in multiple languages on October 20.
