Taylor Swift announced her new album 'The Tortured Poets Department' will be released at the 2024 Grammys.

Taylor Swift takes fans on a journey through the stages of grief and heartbreak on her new album Department of Tortured PoetsPublished on Friday.
The singer-songwriter released a 16-track album. Two tracks feature collaborations with Post Malone and Florence + The Machine. There are also four bonus tracks, “The Manuscript,” “The Boulder,” “The Albatross” and “The Black Dog,” which are featured on different vinyl versions of the album.
On Instagram, Swift called the album “a collection of new works that reflect the events, ideas and feelings from a fleeting and fatal moment — one that was exciting and tragic in equal measure.”
“This period of the author's life is now over, and the chapter is closed and boarded up,” he continued. “There is nothing to avenge, no scars to settle once the wounds have healed. On further reflection, a good number of them turned out to be self-inflicted. This writer firmly believes that our tears become sacred as ink on a page. Once we tell our sad story, we can get rid of it. What remains is torture.” Made poems only.
Two hours after the album's initial release, Swift released a “double album” extension of the record. Ahead of the debut album's release, Swift revealed that the album's first single would be “Fortnite” featuring Post Malone. “I've been a huge fan of Post because he's a writer, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that stick in your head forever. When we worked together on 'Fortnite,' I saw that magic come to life firsthand,” Swift said. wrote on Instagram With a photo with Post Malone.

In April, Swift surprised fans by announcing the upcoming album when she accepted the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album.
“This is my 13th Grammy,” Swift said while accepting the award. “I want to thank the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way, but I know that the way the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans. So I'd like to 'thank you' to the fans by telling you a secret I've been keeping from you for the past two years – namely that my brand new album is coming out on April 19th.
After making the announcement, Swift further teased the upcoming album on social media, showing the album cover in a black-and-white image of her lying in bed. She also teased, “So I enter the proof / My tarnished coat of arms / My muses, bought like wounds / My amulets and charms / The tick, tick, tick tick of love bombs / My veins are black ink / All is fair love and poetry.”
A few weeks before the album's release, the singer offered more insight into the album, which fans speculated was about her breakup with ex-boyfriend actor Joe Alvin. Fans have also pointed out how similar it is to the album's title “Tortured Man Club” Whatsapp Group Chat That Alvin said he was part of Andrew Scott and Paul Meskel. The album's tracks seem to hint at the breakup and the British actor with titles including “So Long, London” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart”.
Swift confirmed that heartbreak will be a major theme of the album as she released five exclusive playlists with Apple Music that explore the five stages of denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.
Swift teased the album's first lyrics ahead of a total solar eclipse on April 8 when she posted a video of herself on a typewriter typing, “Crowd on her fingertips/Half moonshine, total eclipse.”
Swift's music returned to TikTok months after being pulled as part of a dispute between the social video platform and Universal Music Group, which distributes Swift's music, ahead of the album's release.
The album follows Swift's previous releases midnights album in October 2022, which won the Grammy Award for Pop Vocal Album of the Year and Album.
