Cathie Wood stands by her extremely bullish call for Tesla

Ark Invest’s Cathie Wood reiterated her broadly bullish call on her Tesla electric car, which she sees hitting $2,000 in five years driven largely by the robotaxi boom.

“About a third of our valuation is tied to electric vehicles,” Wood said on CNBC’s Fast Money on Monday. “Two-thirds of our assessment is about autonomy [driving] and self-driving taxi platforms.”

Wood’s Bear case on Tesla aims to reach $1,400 by 2027 and $2,500 as its bull case. Tesla is the largest holding in its flagship Ark Innovation ETF (ARKK), with a weighting of 11.5%. Tesla shares have doubled this year after losing 65% in 2022.
