“Dune” actor Timothée Chalamet returned to “Saturday Night Live” after the SAG strike ended to promote his upcoming film “Wonka.”
Timothée Chalamet is making waves on NBC’s Saturday Night Live in his second stint as host.
The 27-year-old actor highlighted his musical background during the opening monologue to promote his upcoming films following the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike.
“It’s my second time hosting Saturday Night Live, but it feels like the first time in a lot of ways. Because the last time was during coronavirus, which was weird. I’ve been wearing a mask all week — I don’t think so.” “Lorne Michaels knew who I was; he kept calling me ‘Wynonna,'” Chalamet joked at the beginning of his monologue. “But I feel lucky to be hosting after the SAG strike ended.”
Things took a musical turn when Chalamet broke into song to bring attention to his projects.
“My new movie ‘Wonka’ hits theaters on December 15. Fandango.com, Keyword ‘Damn, Hugh Grant’s got an Oompa Loompa dumper,'” the Oscar-nominated star said. “If you want to watch a three- Hours and a half, then move on to “Flowers of the Killer Moon.” “Or just wait for the second part of ‘Dune,’ just check before you use the bathroom.”

Chalamet, on the advice of SNL cast member Marcelo Hernandez, switched gears and mentored his high school Alter ego Timmy Tim to A rap song dedicated to his fellow “baby faces”.
“I have a young man’s face but a man’s body. So hide your wife, and hide your grandmother too,” the actor said.
The lyrics became increasingly clear as the duo noted that they were baby-faced and also a ‘bad guy’.

“I’ve had this face since Kenan & Kel, and I’m aging like a vampire, and I’m aging like Pharrell,” Thompson said. “All my life, I’ve been cute on TV, and they think I’m 19, but I’m really 63!”

But on Sunday, people on social media reacted to an “SNL” joke referring to the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.
“SNL and Timothée Chalamet dropping Hamas jokes in the middle of a war that has so far claimed the lives of more than 4,000 children is despicable.” one X user tweeted.
During Chalamet’s skit with Please Don’t Destroy, the character plays an aspiring musician who wants to end his life. “There’s got to be someone or something you care about,” comedy group member John Higgins tells Chalamet’s character. “I think it’s my music,” Chalamet answers.
After Chalamet’s character plays a song for the group, they don’t quite like it. But still asking: “Are you going to share it on Instagram?”
The group agrees and asks Chalamet for his Instagram username. He replies: “It is Hamas, Hamas.”
“Yes, dude, I’m not sharing a Hamas song on Instagram,” says Martin Herlihy of Please Don’t Destroy.
