‘Redfall’ hits single-digit gamers on Steam

Three months after its release, the number of concurrent players in the poorly reviewed early 2023 Xbox exclusive “Redfall” has dropped to single digits at times.

according to Computer gamesNplayer counts have now dropped enough that at certain times of the day in early October, a four-player co-op lobby could not be filled as fewer than four players were playing the game via Steam.

Upon launch, the game debuted with 6,124 concurrent players on Steam on its first day in late April — a number that quickly dwindled to less than 100 by June.

It’s been worked on before VGC The game reached a single-digit player count at some point each day during the last week of September/first week of October.

“Redfall” is also available on Game Pass for both Xbox and PC, which is where most people will likely access the title. Still, it’s a damning indictment of a game that Bethesda says it will continue to work on.

In the last day or so, the numbers have seen a jump to the mid-double digits as Bethesda released a promised 60fps patch and made changes to the game’s combat and gameplay.
