Police say there was no foul play in Memphis rapper Big Scar’s death – FOX13 News Memphis

Memphis, Tennessee – Police said Friday that the death of Memphis rapper Big Scar is not considered suspicious.

According to the Memphis Police Department, Scar, whose real name was Alexander Woods, died Thursday. He was 22 years old.

The police did not say the cause of his death, adding that the investigation is underway.

Big Scarr is signed to 1017 Gucci Mane Records. The rapper and CEO posted the story of Scar’s death on Instagram.

“It hurts,” Gucci Mane posted a crying emoji. “I’m yearning for you.”

According to one of Scarr’s recent Instagram posts, he was scheduled to tour with Key Glock, also a rapper from Memphis, as part of his “Glockoma Tour 2023.”

Scar’s death follows the murders of two rappers in Memphis.

Young Dolph was killed on November 17, 2021 at Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies in Memphis, and Snootie Wild was shot and killed on February 25 in Houston.
