The Pokemon Go Togetic Community Day event opened with a glitch surrounding its target monster, but trainers were unfazed by developer Niantic’s decision.
The Togetic Community Day event is taking place in Pokemon Go, which gives players a great opportunity to stock up on Togetic Candy to evolve their Togekiss for the future.
Unfortunately, as with most Pokemon Go events lately, the Community Day event didn’t go off without some weird issues – the most notable being that Togetic’s base catch rate, or BSR, was much lower than it should have been.

While Niantic ended up rectifying the issue quickly, it left a lot of trainers unimpressed by the solution.
On April 14, the Pokemon Go dataset, PokeMiners, chirp Early details about Togetic Community Day. In a follow-up quote retweet, the team noted, “And no, BCR hasn’t changed, so it’s still at 20%.”
For those who may not be aware, the Pokemon that appeared during the Community Day event always have a boosted catch rate, making it a great opportunity for trainers to catch a lot of monsters that are as hard to get as beginners.

Naturally, fans were upset by this news, but they weren’t surprised that another event started with yet another problem affecting the coaches. “It’s either fixed later or never fixed. Less than an hour later, PokeMiners Certain that “Niantic has fixed the BCR for Togetic (now 40%).” However, many of the responses to the tweet were still unimpressed by the outcome. “They want you to remind them to do their job? However, some trainers have actually praised Niantic’s speed in correcting issues, such as JRESeawolf who chirp“Wow, this is actually too fast for them. Someone was forced to stay up late.”
Hopefully, these hiccups are just an early issue and not a sign of things to come as Community Day kicks off for these North American trainers.
