New ‘Knives Out’ Movie Adds Jeremy Renner

Exclusive: With the third season Mayor of Kingstown Bowing this Sunday, Jeremy Renner has found his next big movie project, as Oscar-nominated actor Daniel Craig is set to join Netflix. Wake Up Dead Man: A Night’s Out Mystery.

He joins new cast members Kerry Washington, Josh O’Connor, Kailey Spaney, Glenn Close and Andrew Scott, Craig as world-renowned detective Benoit Blanc and Rian Johnson returns to direct. Johnson also wrote the script and will produce alongside his T-Street producer, Ram Bergman.

Plot details are unknown. Most recent film, Glass Onion: The Mystery of a Knife, bowed out in 2022, returning as Craig Blank. The film premiered on Netflix, the third in the series after the streamer inked a record $450 million deal for both series.

The Knives out The series is no stranger to delivering ensembles packed with star power, and this installment is no different. Production is set to begin next month, with Netflix planning a 2025 release.

For Renner, this is the first film project he’s signed on since his incredible recovery from an avalanche accident in early 2023. After multiple surgeries and countless hours of rehab and physical therapy, she would return to acting. His performance in the hit Paramount+ series, Mayor of Kingstown, Season 3 premieres this weekend.
