Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 on PC gets the big 1.4.0 patch, arriving on console in January

Konami has released update 1.4.0 for the PC version of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, which won’t arrive on PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox Series

The patch notes were revealed on Konami’s website, and they’re fairly extensive, adding what look like new settings and addressing a number of bugs.

The biggest change to the original Metal Gear Solid — available in the collection alongside classic Metal Gear 1 and 2, as well as Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 — is the addition of new screen settings. Gamers can turn smoothing on or off, for example, or set the screen size to standard, pixel perfect, or 16:9.

Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater also received long-requested audio settings, which were noticeably missing from the original release along with several other features that upset fans. You can read the full patch notes below.
