Jaylen Brown wants to help Donda Academy students after school closes

Jaylen Brown said he is leaving Donda Sports from Kanye West Earlier this week He first spoke about that decision after the Celtics lost to the Cavaliers on Friday night at TD Garden.

“What would have happened if I had stayed?” Brown said. “I work hard to be able to have the platform that I have and use it to be a voice for the voiceless. So maybe I have to sacrifice this platform, I don’t think that would be the right decision, so I had to do what we had to do.”

After explaining his decision, Brown continued to speak enthusiastically about his desire to help students affected by the report Fill Donda Academya school founded by Kanye West in 2022.

“In terms of Donda Sports and these kids, that’s the focus I’m on right now,” Brown said. “These kids have nothing to do with what’s really going on. They don’t deserve to have their season suddenly end, their school year cut short or their school year abruptly cut short due to the actions of others. So I’ve been trying to draw resources together to make sure that doesn’t happen. We live in a society where people see a headline. And they feel like they know all about the situation.I spent a lot of time with Donda, teaching, building relationships with these kids, these parents.

“The only thing they’re committing is trying to have a unique opportunity to move forward in life. It’s a lot of great events, opportunities, and resources that are built into this curriculum. For me – for you guys, maybe, it’s a Kanye West association, but for me, It’s a school with kids, with parents, with teachers who have names and faces that I have to work with. So I look at this situation differently. I plan to use my platform to make sure these kids get what they promised. Yes, a lot is going on, but I think that’s it Where the line is drawn.Education is key,I believe I have been interested in education throughout my career. You can check my track record.I will continue to fight for these children and fight for children in neighborhoods where there are not necessarily people to fight for. In this case, there are a lot of opportunities and resources for a lot of children, and there is a lot to take apart. I can talk here about what is said and what is not said, and I don’t want to keep you here all night, but as I said before, these children have nothing to do with what is going on. Feel Everyone knows everything About the situation, but I spent time there. Lots of great families and teachers and that’s what I see. So I will try to make sure of everything they promised for the foreseeable future and anyone who wants to get along, contact me.”
