Jacqueline Zeman, actress best known for playing Nurse Bobby Spencer Public Hospital, He died.
Her death was announced Twitter by Frank Valentini, Executive Producer of Al-Nahar Drama. She first joined ABC sudser in 1977 and has appeared in over 800 episodes. She has been a five-time Daytime Emmy nominee – four of them GH And one to act in Gulf Like Sophia Madison.
He wrote: “Just like her character, the legendary Bobby Spencer, she was a bright light and a true professional who brought so much positive energy to the work.”
ABC Entertainment and GH She also released this statement: “Jacqueline Ziman has been a beloved member of General Hospital and the ABC Family since originating the iconic role of Bobby Spencer over 45 years ago. She leaves behind a lasting legacy for her Emmy-nominated portrayal of the bad girl-turned-hero and will always be remembered for her kind heart.” We are devastated by the news of her passing, and we send our deepest condolences to Jackie’s family, friends and loved ones.”
Born in New Jersey, Ziman studied ballet as a child—accepting a scholarship to study dance at New York University at age 15—but eventually made the decision to act, instead. She started her first soap party edge of the night before moving on to One life to live To play Lana McLain.
Although she joined GH In 1977, Zeman made several other television appearances on shows such as The new Mike Hammer, sledgehammer! And Chicago Hope.
She is survived by her two daughters.
