Famous American Idol Grammy Award-winner and actress Kelly Clarkson recently appeared at the Daytime Emmy Awards. Her talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show It just won a Daytime Emmy (for Outstanding Daytime Conversation Series, respectively), and Clarkson took some time to speak with ET’s Deidre Behar afterward.
Of course, Behar asked her what everyone was thinking: Will Kelly Clarkson replace Katy Perry after the “What Makes a Woman” singer exits… American Idol?
Unfortunately for Clarkson fans, it looks like she won’t be serving as a judge next season.
“No, no, I can’t do it, just because I promised my kids,” Clarkson said when he became a graduate American Idol Judge in Short interview. “I was like, ‘I want to be out there as much as I can.’ That would put me in L.A., which is why I had to quit.” the sound, who loved this team. And I miss them so much.
It makes perfect sense. Why would Clarkson leave one successful singing competition show to join another? However, it will be interesting to see the 2002 winner of the show return to the show as a judge.
“I wanted to make a life for us,” Clarkson continued. “And we enjoy the park every day and we enjoy each other. As a parent… people understand this… you only get so much time that they don’t want to spend time with you.” This is why [I can’t do Idol]. They are my children.”
Clarkson has also been very candid about her reasons for leaving the sound last year. in Another interview With ET, she said she struggled to “smile” and felt the need to focus on (and move on) her family. She has two children with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.
Well, it looks like another potential judge’s name has been crossed off the list.

Doesn’t look like American Idol The producers have chosen the new judge so far. Or at least they haven’t announced it yet.
Current judge Luke Bryan recently expressed his desire to see singer Meghan Trainor in the judge’s seat next season. Current judge Lionel Richie also allegedly has a list of fellow artists he would like to see as a judge on the show.
At this point, no news has been announced about Katy Perry’s replacement. Stay tuned!
