Ukraine’s Defense Ministry has released horrific footage of hundreds of artillery shells being fired in quick succession – as Russian forces were forced to withdraw from The strategic city of Kherson, Ukraine in the southeast.

The video showed artillery shells creating dozens of fireballs as they fired – and the sky soon turned into a mist of smoke.
It was not immediately clear when – or exactly where – the footage was filmed.
The ministry released the video that appears to have been bragging when it appeared Russian forces withdrew Across the western bank of the Dnipro River, which divides the southern Kherson region in Ukraine.
While the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday that it completed the withdrawal without losing one of its 30,000 soldiers, the Ukrainians painted a picture of a chaotic retreat that saw Russian forces abandon their uniforms or drown in an attempt to flee.
Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Agency announced on Friday that Ukrainian units were entering Kherson – and warned any Russian soldiers still there not to surrender.
The agency said Kherson had returned to Ukrainian control after its occupation since March and threatened to “destroy” any Russian soldiers who resisted.
“You have only one chance to avoid death – immediate surrender,” the Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate said in a statement on the Telegram messaging app.
The statement also guaranteed the safety of any Russian soldier who surrendered.
Russia’s withdrawal from Kherson represents another major setback Russia in its nearly nine-month war in Ukraine.
The recapture of the city could provide Ukraine with a strong position from which to expand its southern counter-offensive Other territories occupied by Russiaincluding Crimea, which Moscow captured in 2014.
