Helen Hunt looked stunning at the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra’s concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday.
The event celebrated the venue’s 20th anniversary and honored its architect, Frank Gehry.
The Oscar-winning actress, 60, looked elegant in a sleeveless black dress with matching black sandal heels.
The Los Angeles native wore down her blonde locks while wearing earrings and bracelets.
She was pictured with her good friend Jeffrey Nordling, a 61-year-old actor who has been seen on shows like Big Little Lies and 24.
Nordling was dressed in a black three-piece suit, a plaid collared shirt with a black tie and black-rimmed glasses.
A number of other notable names were in attendance, including Gerry, 94; Oscar-winning actor Christoph Waltz, 67; Rocket artist Herbie Hancock, 83; Los Angeles director Phil Gustavo Dudamel, 42, and director Rob Minkoff, 61, and his wife, Crystal Kung Minkoff, 40.
He told the Los Angeles Phil A Statement on its website It was made to honor Jerry, who has been described as “a longtime friend of the L.A. Phil and the architect behind the iconic venue in downtown Los Angeles as well as the Judith and Thomas L. Beckmen YOLA Center in Inglewood.”
The organizers intended to honor Gehry’s “iconoclasm” with displays of iconoclasts in their own fields.
“The evening’s program will journey from the beginnings of Walt Disney Concert Hall to the architect’s oceanic inspiration, immortalized in the building’s steel sails and unprecedented sense of movement.”
Thursday’s program was scheduled to begin with an overture to Bach’s Partita, which was the first piece of music ever played at the venue during its construction.
It will be followed by Esa-Pekka Salonen transforming the tune into his piece FOG accompanied by Lucinda Childs, performing her original choreography, LA Phil said.
Hancock, the symphony orchestra conducted by Dudamel and HER were scheduled to contribute a rendition of Debussy’s La mer to honor “Gerry’s love of the sea, orchestral music and jazz,” according to the organization.
Hunt shares her 18-year-old daughter, McKenna Lee Gordon, with her ex-husband Matthew Carnahan.
She got her start in show business as a television actress, making guest appearances on shows such as The Bionic Woman with Lindsay Wagner and Swiss Family Robinson.
She then moved on to the show Mad About You which aired from 1992 to 1999. The show gave her immense popularity and she received four Emmy Awards.
She has also been seen in films like What Women Want, Twister and Cast Away.
