‘Fate: The Winx Saga’ has been canceled after two seasons on Netflix

Destiny: Winx Saga“in Netflix after two seasons, diverse Made sure on.

Showrunner Brian Young originally advertised in a Instagram Mail.

This isn’t fun news to share, but Netflix [has] I decided not to go ahead with Season 3 of Fate: The Winx Saga,” Young wrote. “This is especially difficult because I know how many of you have loved this season. It’s a heartbreaking silver lining, but it’s a silver lining nonetheless. I am so proud of everyone who worked on the show, and so happy to tell the stories we did. Our cast and crew put a lot of hard work into creating this world and these characters. I’m grateful to each and every one of you for watching. It’s been four wonderful years. We hope to see each other again in the future.”

“Fate: The Winx Saga” debuted on Netflix in January 2021, with the second season releasing in September 2022. The first season consisted of six episodes while the second season consisted of seven. The series is a vivid reimagining of the Italian “Winx Club” cartoon. The cast included Abigail Quinn, Hannah van der Westhausen, Precious Mustafa, Elliot Salt, Elisha Applebaum, Danny Griffin, Sadie Soferal, Freddy Thorpe, Theo Graham, and Robert James Collier among many others.

Before this news, “Fate: The Winx Saga” seemed like a success story for Netflix. During the September 5-11 show window, season two debuted on the Netflix Top 10 as the second-most-watched English-language TV title and third-most-watched overall, with only “Cobra Kai” and “Narco-Saints” topping it off. The season remained on the Netflix Top 10 for five weeks, which is a long time, and the first season took off on the chart for two weeks as well during this time, as it often happens with more popular Netflix series.

But as some creators have pointed out, strong viewership isn’t necessarily enough to pressure a Netflix renewal these days. Neil Gaiman said in August He wasn’t sure that his hit series “The Sandman” would get a second season despite his top chart status. “Sandman is too expensive,” he wrote on Twitter at the time. “And for Netflix to release the money to allow us to make another season, we have to do incredibly well. So yeah, we’ve been the best show in the world for the past two weeks. That might not be enough.” (“The Sandman” eventually stayed in the top ten for seven weeks and has yet to be renewed.)

Young created “Fate: The Winx Saga” in addition to serving as executive producer and show director. Jodi Cunihan and Chris Thacker of Archery Pictures also executive productions along with Joanne Lee and Cristiana Buzzelli of Rainbow.
