fast! The new Fire TV Stick 4K is now 50% off — its lowest price ever

If there’s one guarantee during Black Friday sales, it’s that Amazon will discount its own devices. So, while I wasn’t shocked to see so many Echo smart speakers and Ring video doorbells on sale, I was a little surprised to see the all-new Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K marked down just over a month after its initial launch.

at present, The Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd generation) is on sale for $24 on Amazon. That’s 50% off the list price of $49, the new lowest price ever for the sleek streaming device. If you want faster performance, The Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd generation) is also on sale for $39 on Amazon. This represents a total discount of $20 compared to the initial launch price of $59.

Update November 15: We’ve checked and the Fire TV Black Friday deals are still in stock right now.

Released in September this year, the all-new Fire TV Stick 4K builds on the foundations of its predecessor, offering the same great streaming device with some subtle performance improvements. As with the previous model, it offers access to pretty much the best streaming services and uses Amazon’s Fire TV interface to navigate through the app.

As we mentioned in Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd generation) review. The differences between the new model and its predecessor are barely noticeable. But the Fire TV Stick 4K has always been among our favorite streaming devices, so this isn’t a deal breaker. However, if you already own a first-generation Fire TV Stick 4K, there’s little reason to upgrade.

If you’re looking to turn an older TV model into a smart TV, or want one device that can act as a streaming hub, the new Fire TV Stick 4K will get the job done without any fuss and now for a more reasonable price. Meanwhile, if you want the best possible performance, you may want to consider purchasing the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd generation).

These are just a few of the many Amazon hardware deals available in the run-up to the annual retail sales event. Be sure to stick with Tom’s Guide where we’ll be bringing you daily coverage of all of Amazon’s biggest Black Friday deals as well as its major retail competitors.
