Elden Ring: The Erdtree expansion has officially remained in development

FromSoftware officially announced Shadow wantedAn upcoming DLC ​​expansion for the Elden Ring. The developer has confirmed that the DLC is currently in development, but no release date has been announced at this time.

This news comes a few days after the first anniversary of the Elden Ring, in which it sold more than 20 million copies and won unprecedented awards for the best game of the year, including the DICE Awards, New York Game Awards, The Game Awards, and was the best game of IGN 2022. like that.

Elden Ring has only had one more piece of DLC for the game since launch, and that came in the form of the Colosseum multiplayer update. The amount of content Shadow of the Erdtree is set to include has yet to be confirmed, but it will be the first single-player expansion available for the Elden Ring.

IGN also recently spoke to Elden Ring creator Miyazaki who suggested that success won’t dictate FromSoftware’s next content.

It looks like Shadow of the Erdtree isn’t the only project FromSoftware is currently working on, with Armored Core 6 also in active development from the Japanese studio.
