CM Punk was allegedly told not to make any contact with The Young Bucks

Evidence has been that The Young Bucks aren’t terribly interested in dealing with CM Punk after their backstage fight with him after Everyone out Last September – and all the drama leading up to Brawl Out, of course.

Our latest comes across another item in this week Wrestling NewsletterThis is about the supposedly planned meeting between Tony Khan, Chris Jericho, Punk & FTR. That hasn’t happened yet, even with Punk seemingly returning to AEW after only two months.

Dave Meltzer writes that Punk also didn’t reach out to Matt & Nick Jackson to crush their beef, like Thunder Rosa did to mend fences with the women’s locker room after the drama that found itself at the heart of last year. But there seems to be a logical reason why Punk didn’t try to contact The Bucks – he was told not to:

As of the weekend, there has been no resolution to the situation and there are many situations and things involved. Since I’ve been asked often about this, Punk hasn’t apologized or attempted to make any amends directly to the Young Bucks, although those close to him said it was because he was told not to have contact with them and without any contact he couldn’t.

It’s not clear if Punk would be interesting in apologizing, and even the wording of this update sparked new discussions about whether he should. But Meltzer wrote “there are people who want everyone to make amends,” and some have suggested that Punk’s apology would “at least somehow try” for that to happen.
