Cleveland (AFP) – Cavaliers star guard Donovan Mitchell out for Game 4 on Monday night (7 ET, TNT) against the Boston Celtics, the team announced. Mitchell injured his left calf in the final minutes of Cleveland’s loss on Saturday.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to report Mitchell’s Game 4 status.

Mitchell, who had been dealing with left knee inflammation for several months, was injured in the fourth quarter Boston wins 106-93 in Game 3.

He received some treatment off the bench during the break but was clearly sluggish while playing. With the Celtics up by 13 points and sealing the win, Mitchell left the court in the final two minutes and went to the locker room.

Mitchell played only 55 games this season after being slowed by a left knee injury. He missed 16 of Cleveland’s last 24 regular-season games.

The Cavaliers are without quarterback Jarrett Allen, who has missed six straight games due to a rib injury. Allen has not been able to play since suffering the injury in Cleveland’s first-round series against the Magic.

Boston, ranked first, remains without midfielder Kristaps Porzingis, who missed the last four games due to a calf injury.
