Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War will be showcased at the Xbox Showcase in June

It's been a wild 24 hours for Xbox Showcase rumors, and now Tom Warren is in the edge Reports indicate that this year's Call of Duty title, Black Ops Gulf War, will also be on display at this year's Xbox Show.

Insider Gaming can confirm that this is the plan, but the game is currently scheduled to be revealed before the show in a more “traditional manner” and outside of Warzone. Since 2020, previous Call of Duty titles have been revealed as a free-to-play Battle Royale live event, attracting millions of players during the event.

It is understood that Black Ops Gulf War will be revealed ahead of the Summer Games Festival in June. The trailer will feature some form of a deep dive into the game, presumably a walkthrough of the campaign mission if they go traditional. We can then hear more about its multiplayer offering around August and about Zombies soon after.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War will be released in October.

As previously reported, Insider Gaming understands that this year's Call of Duty title will be an open-world campaign developed by Raven Software (multiplayer and zombies will be handled by Treyarch Games).

Speaking with sources, Xbox is said to be preparing to announce its back catalog of games following the Activision Blizzard acquisition as well, so Gulf War may not be the only Call of Duty-related announcement we'll hear. in June.
