“Caddyshack” and “Tron” star Cindy Morgan has died at the age of 69


Actress Cindy Morgan, who gained fame in the 1980s for her legendary role in the classic film “Caddyshack,” has died at the age of 69, officials said.

Morgan first gained attention when he played the golf club's Lacey Underall in the hit 1980 comedy alongside legends Bill Murray, Rodney Dangerfield and Chevy Chase.

She also starred in the sci-fi film “Tron” in the 1980s.

A representative of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office confirmed to Fox News on Saturday that the actress died of natural causes “a few days ago.”

Morgan's roommate reportedly called police to her Lake Worth Beach home on Dec. 30, 2023, when she returned from a vacation trip. According to TMZ.

She knocked on the door and received no response and told police she smelled a strong odor coming from inside. TMZ reported that police found Morgan dead in her room without suspecting foul play.

The Post has reached out to the Sheriff's Office for additional information.

In addition to playing the niece of a country club president in “Caddyshack,” Morgan also played the dual roles of Dr. Laura Baines and the computer program Yuri in the 1982 film “Tron” alongside Jeff Bridges.

Before hitting the big screen, the Chicago native graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in communications. According to her biography on IMDB.

Morgan delivered news on a local television station in Rockford and broadcast recordings on a radio station before moving to Los Angeles where she starred in television commercials for Irish Spring.

The movie “Caddyshack” was her first screen role.

Morgan has also appeared in a number of television shows over the years, including “The Love Boat,” “Bring ‘Em Back Alive,” “The Fall Guy,” “The Larry Sanders Shows,” “Under Suspicion,” and more.
