Beats Studio Buds+ leaked on Amazon May 18th

Beats may release the next-generation Studio Buds model on May 18th. Mac rumors spotted Amazon listing that offered photos and details of Apple’s Beats Studio Buds+ — the page even allowed customers to pre-order the earbuds until they’re checked out offline. The earphones, which are listed for $170 or $20 more than the current model, will have a transparent option that shows off their internal components, similar to the none design. However, it will also be available in black and ivory for those who aren’t infatuated or fascinated by transparent electronics.

According to the listing, the Studio Buds+ can play for up to 36 hours, instead of just 24 hours when combined with the charging case like the current model. Speaking of the charging case, it seems to retain the shape of its predecessor, except that it is probably lighter. The weight of the upcoming product item is 3.87 ounces, while the current Studio Buds are listed as 4.5 ounces.

The Studio Buds+ microphones are three times larger than the current model, and they also have a more powerful processor. These components enable 1.6 Power’s more active noise cancellation and Transparency mode — that is, a mode that lets in some ambient noise so the user remains aware of their surroundings — that’s apparently twice as effective.

The upcoming earbuds also support spatial audio for immersive sounds, “always on” Siri and compatibility with Apple’s “Find My” tracking app. Plus, it features one-touch pairing with both Apple and Android devices, as well as automatic switching that makes it easy to use with multiple phones and tablets. Given the Amazon page for the Studio Buds+ appears to have the full details on the model, we’ll likely see them return again in the coming weeks when Apple is ready to take pre-orders.
