Austin Theory scores a huge UPSET victory over John Cena to open WrestleMania 39 as the Hollywood star passes the torch to WWE’s next big star in surefire fashion.

The theory of Austin and John Cena opened WrestleMania 39 and they certainly weren’t waiting to crown the new generation.
The duo went under just under 10 minutes for the match billed as GOAT vs. NOW, and it was the latter who pulled off a huge win and retained the United States Title.
John Cena made his way to the ring with a horde of Make-A-Wish kids to get his WrestleMania entrances feeling lighthearted the whole time.
The pair battled hard in the early exchanges and Theory managed to crawl his way out of an STF that Cena used to put several guys off.
When Cena hit his five moves of agony and moved toward an Attitude Adjustment finish, the referee was thrown off while Theory tried to fight free, after which, the 25-year-old missed an STF.
Theory would capitalize with a low blow, down A-Town Down to secure the biggest win of his career so far – by a mile.

It is believed that Cena was receptive to the idea of helping make one of the brightest young stars in WWE, as evidenced by the result in California.
Cena has a thriving schedule to return to in Hollywood, but Theory – a former project of Vince McMahon – will use this launch pad to push big for the rest of 2023.
