Alabama vs. Texas A&M, Washington State vs. UCLA and more

Another fun day of college football is upon us.

With four ranked and ranked matchups, there were plenty of opportunities for drama and a marquee early game to be delivered in every way possible. In the end, the Red River Showdown was decided in the final seconds as Dillon Gabriel led No. 12 Oklahoma on a 75-yard drive to beat No. 3 Texas 34-30.

Plus, hosting undefeated Kentucky at Texas A&M and top-ranked Georgia at No. 11 There are some very interesting SEC matchups on Saturday’s schedule, including a trip to College Station, Alabama. No. 9 USC (vs. Arizona), No. 10 Notre Dame (at No. 25 Louisville) and No. 13 Teams like Washington State (at UCLA) are in tricky spots.

Is this Alabama team starting to establish an identity? Since the loss to Texas and the eye-opening performance at USF, Alabama has really started to lean heavily on its running game and defense to win games. Texas A&M endured a miserable 5-7 record in 2022, then suffered an ugly loss at Miami in Week 2 of the season. After that, Jimbo Fisher’s team responded well with three straight wins. The Aggies lost QB Connor Weigman in the Auburn win, but backup Max Johnson played well when he didn’t turn the ball over.
