Adele rebukes an audience member who made anti-Pride Month comments during a concert in Las Vegas

Adele has made it clear that hateful comments are not tolerated at her concerts.

Over the weekend, the Grammy winner gave a profanity-laced response to an audience member who, according to video Posted on social media, she shouted “Pride sucks” during her concert, a reference to the annual event in which the LGBTQ+ community is recognized and celebrated.

“Excuse me, did you come to my fucking show and just say ‘Pride sucks’?” Adele said, looking instantly nervous about the explosion. “Are you stupid? Don’t be so silly.”

The audience cheered and applauded Adele during the dialogue as she continued to tell the objector: “If you don’t have something nice to say, shut up. Okay?”

Pride Month occurs annually in June and is a time when LGBTQ+ communities around the world come together celebrate Freedom to be themselves.

CNN has reached out to Adele’s rep for comment.

It is not known whether the screaming audience stayed for the rest of the concert. The Colosseum at Caesars Palace has not yet responded to CNN’s inquiry on this matter.

Adele is known for interacting with her fans during her Las Vegas residency. Last year, she rebuke A security guard was accused of “disturbing” a fan and asked the security team and those in the audience sitting near the fan, who were apparently complaining about him, to “leave him alone.”

Weekends with Adele has kicked off in 2021. The singer will take a break from her Las Vegas show in August to perform a special show. “Adele in Munich” Concert series in Germany. She returns to North America to conclude her residency in November.
