Amber Heard admits that she and Depp may look like ‘Hollywood Brats’
Amber Heard has given her first interview after losing the multi-million dollar defamation war against her ex-husband Johnny Depp.
Sitting down with NBC’s Savannah Kudry last week, the segments were previewed Today The full interview with EST is scheduled for June 17 at 8 p.m.
Hert says he stands by his testimony at the trial “to the day of my death”, but he believes that in a trial conducted on social media, even the best – intentioned jury will find it difficult to avoid it.
Describing the trial as “humiliating” and felt “less than human”, Heard admitted that he did not feel confident before the verdict, but that he “spoke the truth to the authorities” and paid the price. He acknowledged that he and Debbie looked like spoiled “Hollywood broadcasters” to the average person, but his case was about freedom of speech.
Qudri questioned his own actions in his relationship and admitted he did and said “horrible, regrettable things” but said he “always told the truth”.
Depp sued Heard over $ 50 million for allegedly abusing him in the Washington Post. He accused her of running a “smear campaign” against him and demanded $ 100m in counter-claims.
With a bad back and forth, Ms. Guthrie is challenging Ms Heard whether she will donate $ 7 million from her divorce settlement to the Foundation and whether it will undermine her credibility with the arbitral tribunal.
Ms Heard says this is an example of a man and his credibility and the Depp team that calls him a lawyer.
Ms. Kudri pointed out that it was a test and a competition for credibility.
Doubling the actor, she says she does not have to say that she is going to donate money in an attempt to believe, to which Ms. Kudri replied that she did not have to but did.
Ms Heard says the ACLU and LA want to further honor the pledge to the Children’s Hospital.

Ms. Guthrie also asks her about the number of specific abuse cases she witnessed and the Deb team’s response to placing her photos after incidents that allegedly took place in public without injuries or signs.
Ms Heard said she was told it was fake if she had injuries, otherwise it would not have happened.

Amber Heard says she fears further defamation action from Johnny Depp and is nervous about what he can say about the investigation going forward.
“It doesn’t matter what I say or how I say it – every step I take will give me another chance at this kind of peace, and I think this is what a libel case should be about.”
Savannah Guthrie asks why she wrote the Op-Ed.
He did not write about his relationship, but asked groups of lawyers to read the article to make sure he was giving his voice to a broader issue and not slandering him.

In a recent exclusive interview with NBC, Amber Heard insists that she spoke the “truth to power” throughout the high-profile defamation lawsuit against her ex-husband Johnny Depp. Today’s show.
“First Amendment protects speech … it does not protect lies as much as slander,” NBC presenter Savannah Kudry told the actor in her first interview after Mr Depp won his $ 50 million defamation lawsuit. The arbitral tribunal granted Miss Heard a partial victory in her counter-lawsuit, which was decided earlier this month.
Ms Heard explained in an interview clip that will be fully aired on Friday, June 17 at 8pm ET, “Freedom of speech will not protect you if you go into a crowded theater and scream ‘fire’.”
“My understanding of what that means is not just the freedom to speak, but the freedom to speak the truth to authority,” he added.
