Broadcast Live Video From Your Cell Phone Using Qik Software - Performance

So, is it really worth the trouble of signing up at the site, downloading the software and creating a personal Qik page? Yes, though realistically speaking, “Qikkers”-- as they’re being called -- should expect some glitches and minor technological difficulties while streaming videos. After all, much of the technology developed for the software that enables the live video streaming still has patents pending, and Qik itself is still in its first stages.

Despite minor glitches, users are sure to find the immediacy that Qik offers to be quite special. Even if you find yourself in a subway car or in a basement and without a signal, feel free to stream video anyhow. Whenever you are signal-less and unable to stream your videos live, Qik will save them and upload them as soon as you acquire a signal again. As mentioned previously, while shooting live feeds, friends and family can communicate with you, but if you are broadcasting live, for example on your blog, then anyone who’s watching can chat with you via their computers. The performance of this particular feature has gotten rave reviews from Qikkers. Comments pop into your screen seamlessly as you are shooting and you can respond to their questions and comments as soon as you receive them.

Many people are afraid of new technology; the fear usually comes from thinking it will be difficult to understand or complicated to operate. That is definitely not the case with Qik. It literally only requires that you point and shoot. Before you know it, friends, family or interested members of the public have instant access to what’s going on in your life the second it occurs. Users will find that the streaming video allows them to add a new and entirely different dimension to their online presence. The software literally opens up a world of possibilities for anyone who owns a compatible cell phone. Just as the Internet allowed everyday citizens to become popular bloggers and in some cases web journalists, Qik will enable a new generation the opportunity to be a reporter and share their results live on any website.

Qik’s performance is also being embraced as an interesting and unlikely addition to news/media business because of its ability to provide high impact, low resource live breaking news. Some surprising ways that Qik is being used include medical consultations any time, anywhere; recorded incidents for legal and insurance purposes; and live customer support that will act as the next best thing to actually being there. These are just some of the ways that tens of thousands of Qikkers in more than 100 countries around the world are using Qik. Despite being new and in its beginning stages,Qik softwareoffers seamless live streaming video that’s incredibly easy to use; as mentioned earlier, it only requires that you point and shoot. What’s easier than that?
