SteelSeries SteelSound 4H - Specifications and First Look

For those of you who gorge themselves on technical specs, here's something to whet your appetite:

    Headphones

    Frequency response

    16 - 28.000 Hz

    Impedance

    40 Ohm

    SPL@ 1kHz, 1 Vrms

    110 dB

    Cable length

    1.8 meters (6 feet)

    Microphone

    Frequency response

    75 - 16.000 Hz

    Pick up pattern

    Uni-directional

    Sensitivity

    -38dB

    Impedance

    2k Ohm

With that out of the way, let's take a look at the SteelSound 4H.

Here's a picture of the 4H still in its packaging. The packaging is sturdy and gives a clear description of the headset within. You would actually be hard pressed to cause damage to the headset while still in the package.

Here's a pic of the 4H newly birthed from its package. You can see the large ear cushions, as well as the small in-line "remote" just below it to the right.

The remote itself can be used to adjust the volume of the headphones, and has a switch to help control the microphone input. In the above picture, you can see the volume knob on the top, and the microphone settings right on the front of the remote.
